Another series of images: Wild deer exploring a temple hidden under the roots of massive, ancient trees; flowering cacti in a desert; a curled-up tardigrade; various jellyfish and fern-like sea anemones.
Perhaps the most basic desire is to survive. To persist. To maintain, at the very least, the most basic level of existence that you have. 
Perhaps everything else stems from that, that every other expression is somehow all reducible to that one same thing, no matter how complex, no matter how simple, no matter how beautiful.
